Kids can be so cruel...

I was going through some old journals/diaries I used to keep in middle school and high school and came across some pretty strange profiles for a few of the teachers I had at the time. I blacked out the names to protect the (not so) innocent.

I had no idea I was so judgemental back then. "Air head"? "Clothes clash & wears wig"? I love that I note the "hard tests she gives".


I'm a tad upset by my use of language in this set of profiles and the attack on a teacher for apparently acting "like a gay". I was probably just jealous. At least I had one person I liked, my counselor, Mrs. BLANK. Pretty!


Kids are so cruel. I do like the Poltergeist II reference in this, though.

Yeti Hideout's 31 Days of Horror: Week 3

In honor of Halloween, I've been selecting one horror movie a day. Here are the selections for the third week: Alligator , 1980 My favorite monster movie! It features a lot of great humor, stars an absolutely adorable Robert Forster and showcases a truly amazing supporting cast including Henry Silva, Robin Riker, Michael Gazzo, Dean Jagger and Sydney Lassick. Unforgettable: Revisited

About five years ago I started profiling different character actors that I was particularly fascinated with. It was a fun project, but I quickly stopped after a few entries. I decided to pick the idea back up again and write some new thoughts about my favorite performers. Glenn Shadix (1952-2010)   I first noticed Glenn (as I'm sure most people did) in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice (1988), where he played Otho, the snotty interior designer. It was a funny and memorable role and he got to deliver some great lines. The famous quote, "Don't mind her. She's still upset because somebody dropped a house on her sister", was his own and he was thrilled that Burton let him use it in the famous "Day-O" dinner scene.
