Yeti Hideout's 31 Days of Horror: Week 1

In honor of Halloween, I've been selecting one horror movie a day.

Here are the selections for the first week:

The Innocents, 1961

Beautiful and chilling with an elegant, layered performance by Deborah Kerr. Gorgeous photography and some truly eerie sequences that you will never forget.

Now available on Blu-ray from The Criterion Collection.

The definition of "spooky" with a great, frazzled performance by Zohra Lampert.

Now available on MOD DVD from the Warner Archive Collection.

This one is totally bananas. I won't spoil any of the surprises, so try and seek this one out.

The Anchor Bay DVD is currently out of print, but used copies can be found on Amazon.

I don’t hear this film discussed very much. Great atmosphere permeated by a real sense of dread.

The Code Red DVD is currently out of print, but used copies can be found on Amazon.

Goofy, creepy and a lot of fun. Features a terrific cast, amazing monsters and a totally unconventional leading lady.

The Lucky 13-Cult Collectibles DVD can be found on Amazon.
